Q: Let's start with the obvious question: Are you drunk right now?
DL: Yes, but I prefer to use the term "over-refreshed".

Q: Do you consider yourself a problem drinker?
DL: Nah, it's no problem.

Q: And yet you revealed on the air recently that you brush your teeth with vodka!
DL: Toothpaste wrecks the taste of my morning screwdriver.

Q: Do you think there's anything unethical about being a drunken newsguy?
DL: Of course not. I don't make the news, I just report it. My being drunk isn't going to change the news, but it does serve to make the news funnier. You know who taught me that? Cokie Roberts.

Q: You've been a member of the Zoo Crew with Ted and Joan for two years now. What's it like to have to work in the midst of that madness every morning?
DL: Makes me wanna drink.

Q: What do you see in your professional future?
